You deserve a mental health provider who believes in you & your capacity to heal.

Connecting with you

1

What do you need support with?

Why are you coming to therapy? What do you want help with? I want to hear from you.

2

What are you looking for in a therapist?

If you’ve had previous therapy, I’d love to hear what worked and resonated. This is really asking, how can I best support you?

3

Do we feel like a therapeutic fit?

I always encourage potential clients to listen to their gut. It’s okay to shop around—you deserve that right fit. But just know that I would love to work with you.

"I’ve learned from you so many lessons—the importance of accepting my emotions and facing my shadows, how to tend to my body’s messages, ways of re-centering and speaking from my heart, and the concept of my growth as a spiral. These tools will stay with me for life."

FAQs

What is my therapeutic style?

I bring a very caring, curious energy. I’m not the type of therapist to just sit back and listen. In our sessions, I’m deeply attuned and engaged. I reflect back to you often, offering insights and suggestions, and sometimes challenge thoughts and patterns that no longer serve. In addition to processing via talk therapy, I might suggest role play, automatic writing, parts work, inner child healing, visualizations, art therapy, body talk etc. Leading trauma experts agree that we have to connect with the right brain (your creative, emotional brain) to be able to fully heal trauma and wounded parts. So let’s talk, yes, but let’s also explore your experience in other ways.

I also want to say that I’m very receptive to feedback—I want to know how it’s all landing with you. We can experiment together to learn what best supports you & your growth!

What does a typical session look like?

The honest answer is that every session is unique and takes its own course, but I do create a solid container for us. We start with a brief guided meditation and body scan, to get you more connected to your present experience and grounded in your body. I’ll check in with you about what is feeling most active or charged—is there anything coming up that you want to process? I find it’s most powerful for us to follow your own inner guidance, but I always have themes and questions prepared for us too (especially the first few sessions). And then I like to end each session with a gratitude practice. No matter how deep we go in session, no matter what is uncovered, we can always regain perspective by returning to the positives.

How often should we meet? For how long?

For the first few months, I highly encourage weekly sessions. We need to get into a rhythm where we are building and not just “catching up” on current events. If over time you want to titrate down to every other week, I’m open to that.

As for how long to commit to therapy, that’s very dependent on your needs and your sense of completion in meeting those needs. We are such deep, complex beings and we need to give ourselves the time and space to really unpack. I do have some clients that have stayed with me for years, but others feel complete after three months, six months, one year. Let’s take it one session at a time.

Let’s talk and see if we’re a fit. No pressure, only discernment.
